Crude oil generated 47.8% of export earnings and is still the prime source of revenues. It is fol- lowed by cocoa raw beans (10.9%), fuel oils and lubricants (6.2%), sawn wood (5.8%), logs (3.4%), raw cotton (3.1%), crude aluminium (2.9%), raw rubber (1.8%) and banana (1.5%).In the first half-year 2015, exports diminished by 5.3% compared to the same period in 2014 to come to 1,133.3 billion. This development is due to the decline in crude oil export revenues (-10%), in connection with the collapse in international prices.Excluding oil, exports decreased by 1.3%. the favourable development of the sales of wood and wood products, raw cocoa beans, coffees, among others, did not succeed in compensating for the unfavourable environment in the markets of raw rubber and fuel oils and lubricants.IMPORTSIn 2014, imports increased by 14% compared to 2013, to stand at 3,745.3 billion. Excluding oil, increase is relatively less significant (+8.8%).In the first half-year 2015 and year on year, imports remained almost stable at 1,839.6 billion. Excluding oil, procurement of goods increased by 7.7%. The development is due to the import of fuel oils, and lubricants (+66.3%), cereals (+28.8%), and chemical industries’ products (+16.9%).
