• Purchase land for the development of a market in the Messassi district;• Create land reserves at Nkolondom;• Make further land acquisitions.Other plans include:• The restoration of communal buildings for com- mercial use;• Rehabilitation of public toilets in markets; and the construction completion of various markets;• The construction of culverts at the interchange at Nkolbisson;• Development of access to the campuses of the Catholic University of Central Africa;• The construction of sanitation facilities in the city (culverts);• The equipping of some crossroads with traffic lights;• Paving of roads within the Vita course;• The rehabilitation of fire hydrants in the city;• The replacement work for the poles at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Square;ECO-TOURISM DEVELOPMENTAs has been stated, preserving the environment is one of the strong concerns of the Cameroonian authorities, and the Yaoundé City Council which has planned for the 2016 FY, to develop eco-tou- rism of the Mounts Messa equally aligns to the idea. Other works include:• The eco-tourist development of Mount Yéyé;• The rehabilitation of the waste water treatment plant in Mendong;• The preparation of the multi-annual plan for the embellishment of the hills and high reliefs of Yaoundé;• The study of waste water collection and trans- port network of Biyem-Assi and the Nkol-Mbenda waste water treatment plant (commonly known as Montée Jouvence), etc.The Urban Community has also planned to pur- chase various vehicles and heavy vehicles (pick- up trucks, tow cars, minibuses), metal barriers; to increase the platforms for garbage bins ; to conti- nue the strategic development studies of Yaoundé and its metropolitan area and the elaboration of Land Use Plans. Still programmed for the same FY:• The updating of the geographical information system in Yaoundé;• The contribution of the City of Yaoundé in the addressing project;• The urban management IT application. ROADS AND SANITATION MAINTENANCEThis aspect is also important in the regular actions of the City Council of Yaoundé.
