alongside the road linking up Ngousso and the University of Soa, as well as within the campus. The phase costed CFA F 1.5 billion, a donation from the Chinese government.
The execution of phase I, funded by Eximbank, China, is under way in other Regions of Cameroon.
RURAL ELECTRIFICATION
Besides the increase in supply, the State also undertakes actions to improve access to electri- city in rural areas. They have been investing in recent years, resources from the public invest- ment budget. But the task is tedious when we consider the evolution of demand in the next 10 years. Currently less than 4,000 localities out of averagely 13,000 in Cameroon benefit from electricity.
To improve the access of rural populations to electricity, a funding by the PIB enabled the elec- trification of 42 localities in 2016 and 9 others, resources from the Rural Electrification Agency
