In the first-half of 2017 and year-on-year, produc- tion of petroleum products fell, due to a three- month shutdown of SONARA to restructure the production line. By the end of the year, clean pro- ducts production could increase by 39.6% to stand at 1,898,582 metric tonnes.
In 2016, consumer releases of four-star and fuel-oil 1500 are respectively 2.5% and 4.2% higher than in 2015; those of gas-oil, jet A1, kerosene and fuel-oil 3500 decreased by 1.9%, 4%, 0.7% and 70% respectively. Supply of domestic gas to the domestic market is esti-
mated at 92,661 metric tonnes, of which 70,805 tonnes from import. Domestic gas consumption amounted to 93,922 metric tonnes, up 0.5% from 2015.
In the first-half of 2017 and year-on-year, excluding domestic gas, the quantities consumed of downs- tream petroleum products are down. This develop- ment follows the unfavorable economic situation observed in the sub-region. Domestic gas produc- tion was 835 metric tonnes, down 92.8% on the same period of 2016. Imports increased by 52.9% and consumed quantities increased by 9.2%
Production of clean products by the end of the year, could increase by 39.6%, at 1,898,582 metric tonnes
