                 FINANCIAL MARKET
At the end of December 2016, the market capi- talisation of the Douala Stock Exchange (DSX) was 329.3 billion, down 21.5% compared to 31 December 2015. It breaks down in 148.5 billion for shares and 180.8 billion in bonds. The contribution of the DSX to finance the eco- nomy, measured by the ratio of market capitali- zation to GDP, moved from 2.3% of GDP in 2015 to 1.7%.

At the end of June 2017, nine securities are listed on the official list, including three stocks and six bonds. After the write-off of the value “ECMR 5.6% net 2010-2015”, due to the paying off of the tota- lity of the loan at the end of 2015, the bond mar- ket was enriched with a new value “ECMR 5 , 5% net 2016-2021”, resulting from the bond loan of the State of Cameroon for an amount of 165 bil- lion. The security “BDEAC 5.5% net 2010-2017” will be written off at the end of 2017.

 LES ATOUTS ECONOMIQUES DU CAMEROUN
In 2016, the market capitalisation of the stock market fell by 10.6% on to the amount of 166.2 billion recorded in 2015. The development results from the fall in the values of SAFACAM (- 21%) and SOCAPALM (-6.8%).
At the end of 2016, 10,794 securities were tra- ded for a turnover of 303.4 billion against 380.2 billion in 2015. The closing price of SEMC shares on December 31 was 65 000 FCFA against 63 498 FCFA in January.
The SAFACAM and SOCAPALM shares were CFAF 33 998 and CFAF 22 000 respectively. During the period from 27 September to 27 August 2017, share prices remained stable.
In 2016, SOCAPALM shares remained the most active share with 56% of sales and 74.3% of tra- ding. Only the SEMC share recorded an increase in volume of transactions and turnover, whose weight went from 8% in 2015 to 24.3%.
